angry skies over the windy (Taken with instagram)
last evening i had the pleasure of joining my roommate and her boyfriend on a blind double date at gt fish and oyster.

we polished off ten courses. two rounds of desserts. a bottle of wine and all but one of the cocktails on the menu. everything was amazing. but if i had to choose a favorite, i think i’d have to go with the bbq eel…and the key lime pie, which was just beyond.

alright all you chicago, lollapalooza-going tumblrs…
what’s yours?!? who are your must-see, can’t miss, highlights of the weekend? anyone i’m missing that i need to check out?
Friendly Fires performing at Lollapalooza
so you can’t see me in this video, or ed macfarlane for that matter…but it’s damn close to where this all took place and it’s a great video. he jumps into the crowd around 3:55
too bad it doesn’t even do the whole experience justice.
damn, saturday was a good time.
tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow!!
the arrival of the pumpkin spice latte officially kicks off my fall season.
it’s the little things… <3
windy city in the clouds…
i always wonder what it would be like to be on one of the top floors when this happens…no city below to look down on…just fluffy, white, clouds.
serene, i would imagine. perhaps a little eerie…
how crazy would the sears tower skydeck be on a day like this?

can we just talk for a second about all of the great music rolling through chicago over the next couple of months? and how the sheer plethora of awesome shows is requiring me to do some serious picking and choosing…and i am no good at picking and choosing! concerts i’m attending in bold and sold out shows …well you get the idea. decisions decisions.
